NETHERLANDS – The organizers of the Oktoberfest Sittard have successfully held an event this year called “Open Air Wiesnfest” after a period of suspension due to the pandemic.This is a great joy for the organization and its visitors.Typically, the organization welcomed as many as 250,000 visitors from across the country in 2019.This year, the group felt compelled to scale back the event and allow a total of 18,000 visitors over six days from October 22-27.This is an annual folk festival where people wear leather pants and enjoy drinking beer and eating sausages.They enjoyed performances by many great Dutch and German artists such as Rowwen Hèze, Beppie Kraft and Wir Sind Spitze.
Reflexion Evenemententechniek provided the technology at the open-air Wiesnfest, with TYS Entertainment Architects responsible for the lighting design throughout the festival.They have successfully implemented infinite effects lighting and an extensive library of Showtec stage lighting.
Six Infinity Furion S-601 Profile moving head lights were used as stage headlights.Ideal for backlit effect lighting, they consist of 11 Infinity Furion S-401 Spots and 15 Infinity iW-1941 RDM Moving Heads.They share the same CMY+CTO color mixing system, and both feature state-of-the-art motorized effects and smooth transitions between functions.
Unique to the Infinity S-601 is the ultimate freedom to express creativity with extended features such as a four-dual-axis moving blade system that can rotate plus or minus 45°.The Infinity S-401 Moving Head Light used belongs to the Infinity Furion range.They are interspersed with Infinity iW-1941 RDM wash mobile heads, equipped with 19 40W LEDs and zoom functions ranging from wide 60° washes to tight 3.6° beam effects.Eighteen powerful Showtec blindstrips (Sunstrip Active MKII) were used to accentuate the highlights of the performance with intense dazzling moments.They contain ten GU10 accessories, each with a 75W halogen lamp.
Reflexion Evenemententechniek’s ingenious way is that they deploy 32 LED washers (Showtec Helix S5000 Q4).These are typically used for wall/facade lighting.Today, however, they are increasingly found around the stage, and they are also great for powerful RGBW color mixing, with dimming and strobe capabilities.In addition, ten Infinity iB-2R moving head lights hover over the audience for excellent additional lighting.The Infinity iB-2R is a more affordable moving head light compared to moving lights used on stage.Nonetheless, thanks to their eight-sided circular and five-sided linear rotating prisms, 17 metallic gobos, and 14 dichroic filters, they make a real contribution to great creative light shows.
