Auburn Hills’ Eypex acquires smart light therapy lamp maker Sunflower

Auburn Hills-based Eypex Corporation, a supplier of automotive lighting, electronics and magnetic mounts, has acquired all of JustLight’s assets, including the Sunflower intelligent light therapy lamp that promotes physical and mental health.
JustLight is restructuring and will operate independently within Eypex and will supply products both directly to consumers and through selected distribution partners. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
JustLight has previously released and developed several products including Sunflower, a one-stop home light therapy solution for people suffering from everyday pain and chronic diseases.
Through its products, Justlight helps users heal their minds and bodies, improve their quality of life, and promote overall physical and mental health.
“Photobiomodulation therapy (PBM) is the next wave of modern healthcare,” said Robert Granata, CEO of Eypex and JustLight. “This science, backed by clinical trials around the world, promises to provide safe and effective treatments without the use of prescription drugs or chemicals.
”Manufactured by Eypex and accelerated by JustLight’s intelligent light therapy technology, Sunflower offers the most versatile light therapy solution available on the market.”
Eypex acquired the assets and intellectual property of JustLight, including Smart Light Therapy and UV sterilization technology. An expanded product portfolio covering a wider range of diseases is planned to be brought to market over the next 18 months, along with a skin-friendly germicidal lamp developed by the original JustLight team.
“We are committed to supporting JustLight’s mission of bringing health to light,” Granata said. “With an affordable price and smart software, the Sunflower is a platform-based device that will usher in a new generation of health.”
