Annual lighting of the Country Guide Christmas Tree in winter in Bryant Park

As November draws to a close, the city’s Christmas trees are officially ready for their big shine: the lighting ceremony.
New Yorkers who can’t wait for November 30th to get to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center can enjoy it early. The day before, on November 29, the 12,000 tree lights of the Bank of America Winter Village in Bryant Park will be lit in a spectacular fireworks-filled ceremony.
The ceremony, which begins at 6:00 pm, will bring the 45-foot tree to life and delight visitors with a series of skating performances and surprises. Hosted by Broadway artists Jessica Wax and Gerani Remy, the event will feature incredible performances from Harlem’s Hydnet and figure skating troupe. Olympic and world champions will also perform, including Mirai Nagasu, Polina Edmunds, Ryan Bradley, Una and Gage Brown.
The annual Tree Lighting Event at the Winter Village in Bryant Park is free to attend. Seats are allocated on a first come, first serve basis and doors open at 4:00 pm. If you are unable to attend, you can watch a free live stream on this site.
